COMPUDON is India’s first ever official championship on MS Office applications. COMPUDON was launched by CyberLearning (www.cyberlearningindia.com) in 2011 in partnership with Certiport & Microsoft. COMPUDON is a PAN India championship for students between the age of 13-22 years that tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office Word, Excel® and PowerPoint®. At this time, there are two levels and top students from level 1 are invited to compete at Level 2 (India Finals) In Season IX, at the India Finals, each student competes for India Champion title in his or her category (Microsoft Word 2013, Microsoft Word 2016, Microsoft Excel® 2013, Microsoft Excel®2016, Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2013, and Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2016).
Season IX means this is the 9th year for this championship in India.
Physical operations of CyberLearning were started in April 2007 after Mr Pankaj Rai (Founder) returned to India after spending about 8 years in eLearning Industry in the USA.
CyberLearning is Academic Partner of Microsoft and is the company who introduced the Information Worker category of certifications in India including MOS, ACA, MTA, IC3 & others. CyberLearning is also the oldest & longest active partner of Certiport in India and has delivered over 300,000 certification exams till date. CyberLearning manages the largest testing center network in India with over 1,000 centers including Academic & Commercial Training / Testing Centers across India.
The Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship is a global competition that tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office Word, Excel® and PowerPoint®. Top students are invited to represent their respective countries at the World Championship. At the World Championship Event, each student competes for World Champion in his or her category (Microsoft Word 2013, Microsoft Word 2016, Microsoft Excel® 2013, Microsoft Excel®2016, Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2013, and Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2016).
By participating in COMPUDON and by taking eligible Microsoft Office Specialist certification exam in either 2013/2016 version, eligible students can enter into the MOS World Championship. There are 2 levels. Level 1 will happen within the School premises, and Level 2 will happen in Delhi NCR on dates as given on COMPUDON website www.compudon.in. COMPUDON team will provide all the technical support to deliver the exams in the School and also get the School approved as Certiport Authorized Testing Center.

Anyone can participate in the qualification round (Level 1) of testing, but to participate in the World Championship, candidates must be students that are enrolled in an approved, degree-seeking academic institution recognized by the state or country in which it operates. Students must also be between the ages of 13 and 22 (as of June 15, 2019). Students participating in the World Championship must be able to provide proof of age and student status upon request.
By taking an eligible Exam and entering this Championship, participants agree to abide by all terms of these Official Rules. Previous India Champions OR participants of the World Championship Round ARE eligible for the 2018 Championship. However, they cannot compete in the Exam they previously competed in. For example, a student who became India Champion in Microsoft Excel® (2013 or 2016) during a previous year’s World Championship Round, can compete ONLY in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint®.
Yes, students at Microsoft Imagine Academies are encouraged to participate. Many of those students participating prepare for the competition using the curriculum and lesson planning materials offered through their school by the Microsoft Imagine Academy program. This program provides schools flexible curriculum, customizable lesson plans and professional development opportunities for teachers.
The 2017 World Championship will include the following six (6) tracks:
World Champion: Cash (or equivalent) prize of $7000, Medal, participate, winner’s certificate & other prizes
For World 2nd Place: Cash (or equivalent) prize of $3500, Medal & Certificate
For World 3rd Place: Cash (or equivalent) prize of $1500, Medal & Certificate
For India Champions: Cash (or equivalent) prize of Rs. 30,000/-, and Sponsored trip# to Disney Land, Florida, USA# for participation in the 2018 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
For 1st Runners Up: Cash (or equivalent) prizes of Rs. 20,000
For 2nd Runners-Up: Cash (or equivalent) prizes Rs. 15,000
There is special recognition for students getting ranks 4-10 at the India Finals in each exam track.
India Champions will be selected in one of two ways:
1. Top Score Method: Student with the top scores each in Word, Excel® and PowerPoint® (versions 2013 or 2016) will be selected as India Champions. .
2. Least Time Method: In case there are two or more than two students having the same high score, then the student who finished the exam is least amount of time will be selected as Winner.

All Country Champions will be invited to the World Championship Event to compete for the title of the World Champion in Word 2013 or 2016, Excel® 2013 or 2016 and PowerPoint® 2013 or 2016. At the World Championship Event, all Country Champions will be tested in a proctored lab on their respective exams. Generally, students will only be asked to complete their exams one time, however, in rare instances Certiport may require a second round of testing. All participants in the World Championship will be responsible for preparing themselves to compete in their respective exams.
If two students at the World Championship Event have the same high exam score on the unique comprehensive exams, the finalist who completed the exam in the least amount of time will be the winner. Decisions of judges are final. Winners will be notified during the student awards ceremony. Odds of winning will depend on the number of students competing in each exam division.
In Level 1, eligible exams can be taken at any Academic Certiport Authorized Testing Center any number of times. However, for each exam, student will need a MOS voucher or access to a MOS exam license at his/her Institution.
There is no limit to the number of times a student may sit for any particular eligible exam as long as he/she is not in violation of the Microsoft Office Specialist exam retake policy. Students who fail to abide by the Microsoft Office Specialist exam retake policy will be immediately disqualified from the Championship. Certiport retains the right to disqualify students for appropriate cause.
During the Qualifying Round, a Student can participate in MULTIPLE Exam tracks. For example, they can submit an Excel 2016 and Excel 2013 Exam. However, if they qualify to participate in India Finals, then they can only compete in only ONE Exam track and the same track will apply for World Championship if student qualifies for World Championship).
